Some evenings I sit at the sewing machine and turn a piece of fabric into something that’s only mine – a blouse, a bag, sometimes just a curtain for the window. It’s my quiet ritual that brings satisfaction. On Saturdays I’d rather wander through flea markets than shopping malls, hunting for old buttons, lace doilies and little stories hidden in objects. Once in a while I put on dancing shoes and head out for salsa or bachata – the body warms up and the smile lingers. I’m looking for a man who also has his own small, repeatable pleasures and doesn’t need to rush everything.
