I like starting the day at the sewing machine, listening to the needle move steadily through the fabric, then heading out with binoculars to watch sparrows and tits hop between branches. In the evening I often sift through old documents, trying to link another branch on the family tree. There’s something calming yet intriguing about these activities – you never know what you’ll uncover. I’m looking for a man who understands that someone can enjoy the quiet focus of sewing and still want to jump into the water for a spontaneous evening swim or wander the city without a plan.
