Ceramics and pottery give me real satisfaction when bowls and vases emerge from the clay and then get used in the kitchen. Evenings often mean putting on a vinyl record and preparing dishes inspired by culinary travels, and in summer I pack the tent for camping with simple but tasty food. I enjoy these calm, hands-on activities because something tangible actually gets made.
