Hey, here’s someone who’d rather spend an evening with knitting needles and a cup of tea than at another party where everyone pretends everything’s fine. I sometimes paint late into the night when the rest of the world is asleep, and I write short stories that rarely see the light of day – it’s my way of sorting my thoughts. Mindfulness for me is just silence and a few deep breaths before I start cooking Thai curry or Korean bibimbap and fill the kitchen with aromas. On weekends I wander flea markets looking for old mugs or odd paintings that end up in my place. Laughter is my compatibility test – if someone can’t catch the dry joke or light sarcasm, the rest of the chat will probably stay stiff. I’m looking for a guy who isn’t afraid to be a little ridiculous, doesn’t get offended by small things, and can defuse tension with a joke, then actually listen when I say something serious.
